RIGHTS, HEALTH & LEGAL AWARENESS

Sangini Saheli works across legal literacy, women's safety, public health, and community sensitisation through grassroots programs and formal institutional engagement.

The work reaches communities where awareness is limited and connects to institutional structures where accountability matters.

About This Work

Access to legal knowledge shapes how women navigate workplaces, households, and public systems. Without it, rights exist on paper but rarely in practice.

Sangini Saheli addresses this through direct community sessions, formal legal committee participation, and sensitisation programs conducted across Delhi and multiple states in collaboration with legal authorities and institutional partners.

Areas of Work

  • Legal Rights and Safety Community workshops covering domestic violence, women's legal rights, workplace safety, and available legal recourse. Conducted in collaboration with legal aid networks and grassroots outreach teams.
  • PoSH and POCSO Sensitisation Joint sessions on sexual harassment prevention and child protection laws for communities, institutions, and organisations. Focus is on practical understanding: what the law covers, how to report, and what support exists.
  • Health and Hygiene Outreach Menstrual health awareness and sanitary pad distribution across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu, and remote regions. Outreach includes sex workers at GB Road Delhi, residents at Muskan disability home, and communities in urban slum settlements.

Closing

Sangini Saheli works at both ends: building awareness in communities where legal knowledge is absent, and maintaining institutional presence where redressal and accountability are required.
